Tobago is small and green, and it splits neatly in two for a visitor. The south-west, near the airport, has the beaches and what nightlife there is; the north-east is remote, forested and built for diving and quiet.
Where to stay
Crown Point, Store Bay and Bon Accord in the south-west are the base for most, close to the airport, the best-known beaches and the weekend party at nearby Buccoo. The north-east, around Speyside and Charlotteville, is the diving end, wild coast, reefs and rainforest, a long but worthwhile drive from everything. Choose the south-west for ease, the north-east for nature and the reefs.
