Nevis Abattoir

The Nevis Abattoir is a government subsidized facility, apart of the Department of Agriculture. The facility provides slaughtering of cattle, pigs, sheep, and goats with associated fees, and meat processing on the island. They offer free delivery of carcasses to the public market and deboned meat to businesses on the island. Along with with these services, they sell a variety of smoked and fresh meat products, including smoked hams, pork, beef, and mutton, as well as pork belly bacon and bacon. Additionally, they offer land preparation and sell farming inputs. The abattoir operates on specialized, seasonal arrangements for traders during peak seasons, i.e., Christmas, to manage high-level processing.
