Nevis Island Administration

The Nevis Island Administration (NIA) is the devolved government of the island of Nevis, part of the Federation of St. Christopher and Nevis. It operates under a Westminster-style parliamentary system and has its own unicameral legislature. The NIA is consisted of the Deputy Governor General, members of the Nevis Island Assembly, and a Cabinet of Ministers, led by the Premier. The administration is responsible for various aspects of governance on the island. These include, finance, agriculture, social development, public works and other areas.
