The Ministry of Agriculture Fisheries & Marine Resources is a governmental department in St. Kitts. The department's main objective is to manage, elevate, amplify and develop sustainability in the vital and driving agricultural sector of the island. The Ministry of Agriculture is responsible for a range of aspect, these include food security by promoting local food production, without heavily relying on imports, conservation of marine ecological systems and promoting sustainable fishing, and support farmers and fishers of their livelihood, through infrastructure development, planning and policy making, and resource provision.
