Halliday-Smith Primary School
Fort Thomas Rd, Brumaire, St. Kitts
Halliday-Smith Primary School, previously named Irish Town Primary, is a public educational institute that teaches from kindergarten to grade six level education. The institution was renamed in honor of two respected educators, Mrs. Maizee Halliday and the late former principal, Mrs. Sylvia Smith, who both served many years at the school. The school's mission is to create a conducive environment of respect and co-operation amongst teachers, students, and the community. They have a history of being apart of various activities, such as the Consumer Affair Quiz, the Netball League, Literacy Week, and other events provided by the education department and local organizations. Irish Town Primary encourages parents to be supportive in their children's education. They strive to develop students physically, mentally, socially, emotionally and spiritually, and for them to be successful in learning the appropriate skills and knowledge for them to reach their highest potential. The facility also has a large playing field and basketball count for recreational activities.
