The Financial Services (St. Kitts Branch) is a government office under the Financial Services Regulatory Commission (FSRC) Act, No. 22 of 2009, with the aim of regulating the non-banking financial sector. The department is responsible for supervising the various entities, such as insurance companies (domestic or captive), private pension plans, money services businesses, credit unions, The Development Bank of St. Kitts and Nevis and the Trust and Corporate Service Providers. Their main aim is to maintain confidence of the public for the financial systems operating in St. Kitts and Nevis and to prevent money laundering within the Federation and that all laws are abided by theses entities.
