Basseterre Fisheries Complex

The Basseterre Fisheries Complex is a government operated and owned facility. The complex was built by the Ministry of Agriculture Fisheries & Marine Resources for the purpose of buying and selling local fish. It is a central location for fishers to sell their catch and serves as a place for processing, packaging and distribution fresh seafood to supermarkets and other businesses. Vendors also sell the products at the complex, which further enhances development and sustainability. Implementations and requirements such as permits from the Department of Marines are needed to meet the quality and safety standards, to catch and sell fresh and healthy fish to consumers.
