AIDS Secretariat
About
AIDS Secretariat in Antigua is the national coordinating body responsible for overseeing the country’s response to HIV and AIDS. Operating under the Ministry of Health, Wellness, the Environment and Social Transformation, the Secretariat leads policy development, programme coordination, monitoring, and public education related to HIV prevention, treatment, care, and support. It works closely with government agencies, healthcare providers, civil society organizations, and international partners to implement national HIV strategies, improve access to testing and treatment, reduce stigma and discrimination, and support individuals living with HIV. The AIDS Secretariat also plays a key role in data collection, reporting, and advocacy, helping to strengthen Antigua and Barbuda’s public health response and long-term management of HIV and AIDS.
