Where to stay in Aruba: Palm Beach, Eagle Beach and Oranjestad

Aruba’s hotels line up along two neighbouring beaches on the calm west coast, and the choice between them sets the pace of the trip: one is busy and built-up, the other wide and low-key.

Where to stay

Palm Beach is the high-rise strip, the big resorts, casinos, restaurants and watersports packed along a lively stretch of sand. Eagle Beach, just south, is the low-rise side, a wider, quieter beach with smaller hotels and more room to breathe. Oranjestad, the capital, puts the shopping and the cruise port on your doorstep, and the far south around Savaneta is quietest of all. Palm for buzz, Eagle for calm.
